I am a qualified proofreader (Publishing Training Centre) and trained editor of 15 years-plus. I can supply feature copy on a range of subjects from arts and culture to sports.

I began my career at the Hull Daily Mail in 2000 after graduating from the University of Hull with a BA (Hons) First Class in English, and an MA in film and literature. I trained to be a sub-editor (I was among the first to earn the NVQ Level 4 in Production Journalism) and later worked at the Press Association in Howden, with roles including senior Teletext staff, TV listings management and working on PA’s main news wire.
